Why Exer-Tech?Our peopleExer-Tech employs the following staff members: Donnie Neron, Owner, Operator and Consultant Donnie has spent his career in the fitness industry, including as a bicycle mechanic at Glouscester Cycles, a service manager at Gym Systems and City Wide Sports, and a fitness instructor at Holiday Fitness Clubs. His many certifications include factory training on all major fitness equipment brands, Arc Welding 1, MIG Welding, Oxy Acet. Welding, Lathe & Milling Machine 1, Autobody 1 & 2, WHMIS training and CPR. Donnie's technical expertise is also derived from his natural talents as a mechanic and technician. He has a passion for Mini Coopers, which he collects, restores, modifies, shows and races. He is a founding member, vice president and treasurer of the Ottawa MiNi Club. He also enjoys swing dancing, golfing, moto cross riding, fishing, skeet shooting and downhill skiing. Donnie lives outside of Ottawa with his wife, Carmelie, and their three cats. André Lagueux, Service Technician André's many certifications include Arc Welding from Algonquin College, Man Lift Operator certificate, Lifefitness certification, and WHMISS certification. He also has his Class DZ and air brakes driver license. André is an avid hockey player and outdoorsman whose favorite pastimes include boating, hunting, fishing, and time at the cottage with his wife and two daughters. Scott Robertson, Service Technician Scott has obtained his Welding 1 certificate and holds various automotive certifications. He specializes in repairing all major brand-name fitness and related equipment. His first love remains with cars and in his spare time he restores, races and shows cars. Scott can often be found out of doors with his wife and two children, where they enjoy mountain biking, cross-country skiing, snowboarding, boating, and water sports. Kirk Earl, Service Technician Kirk is certified on Nautilus fitness equipment and is fully trained on all major brand-name fitness machines. He lives in Kemptville and enjoys NASCAR, boxing, and working on his collection of trucks. Carmelie LaFlamme, Administration Daria Mikloukhina, Office Assistant Daria provides administration and billing support, client service, and orders parts. |

Donnie founded Exer-Tech in 1988 after working as an in-house technician at a local gym. At that time, there were no independent service companies in the Ottawa area and he set out to fill that need. The company has grown and evolved under his leadership and is today the largest, best-stocked, and best-trained independent service company in the region.
André has been with Exer-Tech since 2001. His combination of mechanical, electrical and welding skills ensures excellent service for Exer-Tech clients. André previously spent five years managing a crew of seven maintenance workers at St-Laurent Shopping Centre in Ottawa - a job that involved welding, electrical and mechnical work.
Scott has serviced Exer-Tech clients since 2000. His background in automotive electronics gives him the ideal combination of electronics and mechanical skills required to maintain today's fitness equipment. He spent four years as a vintage sports car restoration technician specializing in all aspects of mechanical and electrical detailing. He was also a certified automotive electronics technician for almost three years.
The most recent addition to the Exer-Tech service team, Kirk has been with the company since 2006. Prior to this he owned Serious Sound, a car audio business, for 10 years, and worked as an audio technician for five years before that. He sold and installed audio and satellite equipment, designed and fabricated customer car audio installations, and won Top Installer in Ontario at an event sponsored by Clarion Car Audio.
